TreeBanking is a for profit company, dedicated to replanting millions of acres of rainforests, removing carbon from the atmosphere, creating jobs in developing countries, and restoring habitat for endangered species.

In a typical commercial project, we purchase deforested land in the tropics, and replant the rainforest, by first planting a pioneer species to create a canopy for the native species to thrive. As we harvest the pioneer trees, we replace them with native trees, and continue to sustainably harvest the trees. By year 25 we have removed all the pioneer trees and we leave a rainforest in our wake.

In other projects we also partner with Not for Profit Organizations to create habitat for endangered species. In these projects, the Not for Profit organization normally owns the land. TreeBanking manages the projects. We plant, maintain and harvest the trees sustainably and the profits from the sale of harvested hardwoods return to the Non Profit organization, to buy more land, create more jobs, and plant more trees to continue the process of creating Sustainably Managed Permanent Rainforest Habitats around the world.

Dans ces projets, l'Organisation à but non lucratif possède normalement la terre. TreeBanking gère les projets. Nous plantons, entretenons et moissonnons les arbres de façon durable et les bénéfices de la vente de bois de feuillus récoltés retournent à l'Organisation à but non lucratif, pour acheter d’autres terres, créer plus d'emplois, et planter plus d'arbres pour continuer le processus de créer des forêts tropicales permanentes qui sont moissonnées de façon durable partout dans le monde.
